I’ve written about receiving gifts upon the arrival of a new family member. And how many people get it wrong, wasting money and annoying us. You voiced your opinions too, which I turned into a blog post. One thing we all agreed on was that balloons and flowers were out and food, self-care and baby products were in. Those were the things I appreciated after having all three of my babies. The needs are the same as they are more or less throughout the early years of parenting. I couldn’t be happier to write about my experience with Mommy Box and tell you all about it.
Firstly, I want to talk about the actual product because that is the star of the show. The ribbed cardboard box is a keeper, it’s gorgeous and sturdy. Inside, wrapped in tissue paper and stuffed with pink tissue paper shreds, is a range of products covering you, the mama and baby.

- Donkey’s Milk Face Soap by Hermann Gourmet Cosmetics, a vintage-elegance inspired brand that makes the most amazing skin care products in gorgeous packaging. I wrote about them a couple of years ago so I can’t wait to try the face soap.
- Organic Rosewater Face and Body Mist by Regenas Gardens. Who doesn’t like a face and body mist? And very few things can compete with that freshly sprayed scent of rose water against your skin.
- Organic Beeswax Baby Balm, a super versatile and great product to have in your ‘arms’ room. You can use it for anything from chapped skin to bacterial infections.
- A handmade knitted bunny. Enough said.
