Pregnancy style: Two favourite items

Sorry about the silence that took over last week. I got caught up in the middle of updating or upgrading and backing up my laptop, not to mention sorting through thousands of photos, videos and documents. And seeing as I am 38 weeks pregnant, technological advances, stress and multi-tasking come with limitations.

On with the show and what I have been wearing to death these last few weeks.

During this pregnancy I purchased very few new wardrobe pieces. None of which were maternity by the way.

I just stuck to the style I like but purchased at bigger sizes. Leggings, long and super soft t-shirts, cardigans and button-down shirts and of course dresses and anything with an elastic waist. These non-maternity pieces work for me because without failure they accompany my growing bump along with everything else that has grown too. And of course every single item is super comfortable and as flattering as can be.

My two favourites are:

american apparel

I picked up a pair of these American Apparel Tri-Blend Leisure Yoga pants while I was in Vienna. I love AA’s basic stuff because the quality is amazing and stays amazing no matter how many times you wash and wear. These super soft and thin trousers come with an elastic band so they are perfect for a growing belly. I regret not buying another pair but will do as soon as I can.

zara striped dressI have found that while baggy and big may in fact feel comfortable, it doesn’t always look good on a pregnant body. Sometimes you need to accent your curves and show that bump off with a stretchy piece of material. I discovered the perfect stretchy and striped dress in Zara’s TRF department. Ridiculously inexpensive so I bought two and have worn them with a long cardigan or a button down shirt, which I tie under my bump now the weather has warmed up.

What wardrobe items did you swear by when you were pregnant?
