There is a slight chance some will find this post offensive. I can only hope that is not the case. I am about to touch on the topic of cultures and religions, something I was sure would never be mentioned on the blog due to the obvious sensitivity of the matter. However, this piece is based on my own experiences and thoughts, as a mother and individual and something that happened to me recently. I am not here to tell you what you should or should not believe in. Far from it. I believe the world is beautiful due to the mixture that exists, more so in terms of culture than religion. It seems though, that my view is not shared by all, something I am completely aware of. Then there’s the matter of hate and extreme, which again I am aware of but do not and will never understand. When it hits too close to home, I cannot remain quiet anymore.

I don’t know how true this is but it’s definitely interesting to see what kids eat around the world.
I love this idea of making a family photo book especially since Georgie loves looking at photos.
Watch this video of little girls saying f***. Is there anything worse? Yes. There is.
1. Converse. Always and forever.
2. Awesome morning light.
3. Painting pots and stones.
4. Picking out a much-needed Christmas present for Georgie.
5. Tools, pappou and Georgie means I can put my feet up.
6. His first time watching Superman. Such a special moment for me because I loved Superman movies as a child.
On Sunday, Georgie looked slightly confused when papa and I announced we were all going to see some dinosaurs. ‘You told me they are all dead!’ Hm, yes, that’s right. So, I rephrased: ‘We’re going to see some dead dinosaurs’. The whole dinosaur concept is difficult to establish at this age but I am hoping the fascination will remain until he fully understands what type of remarkable beings used to roam the earth. Together with his cousins, we visited the Tsirides’ Foundation exhibit on dinosaurs, fossil fish and semi-precious stones. The exhibit actually included a complete skeleton of the extinct Cyprus pigmy hippopotamus and an authentic T-Rex skull!
I literally had to dust off my camera when I picked it up this Sunday. We were heading to a kids festival organised by Vagoni Agapis, a non-profit charity organisation for families in need. Such a great cause teamed with really good food and lovely weather (I hope some of you made it), making it a fantastic photo opportunity. Georgie and the other children dabbled in a number of activities including gardening and yoga. It was his first time striking the animal poses and he absolutely loved it. But his favourite part of the day had to be the sea of dead leaves he rolled around in to his heart’s content. Does this mean we can finally welcome autumn?
