We don’t buy cakes often. If papa, Georgie or I crave a certain type usually I’ll just bake it over the weekend. We all have our own favourites so nothing takes too long to whip up. But then there are times (and as my pregnancy progresses they’re getting more frequent) when baking is the furthest thing from my mind. But eating isn’t.
Enter Boutique Patisserie and their gorgeously delicious cakes. Sorry guys and girls. I know summer is just around the corner and most of you are probably hoping to shed a few kilos before you have to put on your bathing suits but hey, you still have time and believe me it will be totally worth it. Especially if, like me, your standards are very high when it comes to food and cakes in particular.
Papa and I have a bunch of favourites namely all the cheesecakes and the different versions they have but the carrot cake is to die for. I like to boast that I can bake a perfect carrot cake but once I tried this one I admitted to papa that it may be even better than mine! That’s how good it is!
If you do happen to pop into Boutique Patisserie take note of their take away boxes that are basically small shallow crates I have found to be quite useful. I have used them around the house for anything from holding Georgie’s pots of pencils, keeping them organised to keeping my own pots and jars neat and tidy.
