I love a good quote as much as the next person. But I’ve come across a few over the years that are pure excellence, they exude originality and speak to me in some way. And thus I would love to have them hanging on my walls. Here are my favourites.

I’ve always been a cheerleader for minimalism. I like the idea of keeping it simple, basic and to the point. Whatever that may be. And then I watched the documentary Minimalism: A Documentary About the Important Things. It’s been six months and I am still following the basic guidelines to decluttering my life and subsequently, my mind.
This blog post HAD to happen. Why? Because there were signs. First there was the mention of Hygge on Weeds, which I started watching a few weeks ago. Then there was a random post about the Hygge Manifesto on one of my favourite blogs. And of course before all this, I heard of the Hugå Studio opening in Nicosia.
James’ nursery is slowly coming together. Very slowly. I’m still waiting on a few things to arrive and of course there’s the matter of actually putting James IN his bedroom (yes, he still sleeps in his cot in our room). One thing I’m on the hunt for is beautiful illustrations for the walls. I came across Carson Ellis’ work and fell in love.
I’ve found ways to spruce it up, on a budget and with little maintenance. I love the idea of plenty of colourful throws and cushions, various lanterns, fairy lights and potted plants, rugs and wall decor pieces too. Here’s what inspired me:
