The Birdhouse is exactly the type of place I had in mind when I mentioned how much I want to promote small local shops and businesses. Especially this Christmas. This place is brimming with gorgeous creations all handmade with love and care by very talented individuals and I am so excited to tell you about it.
There isn’t just one specific type of product available at The Birdhouse. In this little shop you can find bags, jewelry, stuffed animals, leather notebooks, baskets, wall ornaments, dream catchers, paintings and even baby clothes. All handmade. I’m sure I’m forgetting loads more but my point is that this is a place where you can easily shop for both kids and adults, friends and family. And most importantly you’ll be supporting the efforts made by local artists.
These simple and delicate handmade pieces are among my favourite pieces and are definitely going on my Christmas wish list.
For friends or family with little ones and especially little girls I don’t think anything on the high street can beat these stunning and beautifully made coats, jackets and dresses.
It wouldn’t make sense for this place to be just a shop. Creativity keeps flowing through The Birdhouse with arts and crafts classes taking place throughout the week. On Saturdays from 11:00 until 13:00 kids aged 6-12 can attend a fun craft class while adults interested in learning how to crochet can attend Wednesdays evening classes.
