This week it was Georgie’s birthday. He is now 5 years old.
I get a bit emotional at his birthdays, when he blows out the candles and I realise how bloody quickly time goes by. I hugged him tight on the morning of his birthday and whispered the words ‘my baby’ to which he replied: ‘No mama. I am now 5 years old so I am not a baby anymore.’ I made it abundantly clear that no matter how old he is he will always be MY baby. If you follow me on Instagram you can catch me singing happy birthday to Georgie as he was waking up with a smile on his face.
I wasn’t feeling up for organising a party at home this year as Georgie was quite sick the week before and so was I. So we celebrated his birthday last weekend with a party at the newest playground in Nicosia, Kings of the Hill where the kids had a great time playing indoors and outdoors and getting their faces painted. What I really want to tell you about though is the service and the food. We enjoyed a phenomenal spread of chicken souvlaki, salads, halloumi in a pitta, pasta and amazing wraps with smoked salmon and other ingredients, a menu, I should say, handpicked by papa. The kids plates were a nice surprise too as there was not a frozen chicken nugget in sight! Instead their little plates were brimming with freshly cut chips, handmade chicken fingers and mini hamburgers.
Happy birthday baby boy! We love you to the moon and back x
