This morning I was huffing and puffing about the dog relieving himself on my Cath Kidston bag when I turned on the computer and saw a sweet comment in my box. Little Love Nest nominated this blog for a Liebster Award! Thank you! Although I could barely find anything about this award after a quick search, it sounds like a fun and cool way to learn more about the WordPress blogging community. Happy dance, people!
Here’s the lowdown for how the award works: bloggers award other bloggers whom they consider as “up and coming” and have less than 200 followers, or are a newer blog. If you receive a Liebster, you must tell 11 things about yourself, answer 11 questions asked by the nominating blogger, and nominate 11 new bloggers – I cheated here and nominated 8 because it’s getting late, people. You then ask 11 questions to the bloggers you nominated. Oh, and don’t forget to inform the bloggers you chose.
11 little known facts about me:
1. I am a massive movie freak. I collect DVDs and my favourite thing to do in the whole wide world is watch movies ALL DAY.
2. I studied Journalism at the Southampton Institute in the UK.
3. Up until three years ago I didn’t even know what a blog was.
4. I have curly hair and that landed me a photoshoot in New York and my face on a big poster! Still quite chuffed about that.
5. I refuse to get into an unmade bed. I will make it up, if for some weird reason I didn’t in the morning, and then get into it. I like opening the flap and crawling in.
6. By the time I was six, my parents moved five times. The home I will be moving into shortly (still hoping!) will be the tenth house I have lived in in 31 years.
7. Every Christmas my husband and I watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
8. I fulfilled a life-long dream when I took a road trip through Europe with friends.
9. I love tea. In every shape and form.
10. In October I got my first two tattoos. Picked and executed on the same day.
11. I swear by organic food.

1) What is your favorite genre of music? Classic rock. With a good mix of blues.
2) If you could go back in time to a certain moment in your life, what would it be?Why? I’d give anything to go back to a time when my dad would play his music in the car at full volume and we would sing with my sister pretending to know the words. The Pet Shop Boys’ ‘It’s a sin’ stands firmly in my head.
3) What is your all time favorite movie? Oh come on. That’s like choosing which child you love more! Can’t do it. Sorry.
4) How many kids would you like to have? Four. But for the sake of my sanity, let’s say two.
5) What was your favorite game growing up? Does role-playing count? I loved pretending to be a shopkeeper.
6) What household chore do you loathe? Ironing.
7) If you were a superhero what would your name be and what is your super power? I would be Mama. And I would battle diseases.
8) How many siblings do you have? I have five. One sister. Four brothers. All younger.
9) If you could be any animal what would you be and why? A bird. Because they can fly. Duh.
10) What is your favorite food? Carbs. You get the picture.
11) If you could change your name, what would it be? There’s something about having a boy’s name that I really like. James or Dylan are right up there.
