1. Training Lily. Aka banging your head against a brick wall.

2. We have serious conversations on the kitchen counter.

3. Paphos Marina. Some time last month.

The Parent Hood//03

In Denmark, babies sleep outside while parents dine and wine inside. Just one of those fascinating parenting methods from around the world.

I am not sure if this is ongoing but a Positive Birth Group is always worth checking out if you’re in Cyprus and expecting.

Steven Spielberg to direct The BFG! I can barely contain my excitement even though it won’t be out until 2016.

style and beauty

style to the kids

I like my boy in t-shirts and sneakers. I love him in cut off jeans and I cannot resist a superhero t-shirt. I am pro-tomboy all the way. It’s hard to understand why I ever worried about dressing a boy. It is an absolute uncomplicated joy. Yet sometimes I catch myself walking straight into a heap of tutus and frilly bows and smiling. I am drawn to the cuteness of a little white dress, an embroidered flower and fine fabrics. This does not happen often but when it does it’s usually worth mentioning, so if you have a little girl who you just love dressing up, take yourself down to Marasil. There are stores in Limassol, Paphos and Nicosia. They stock truly gorgeous dresses in lovely fabrics and a number of christening options without the tulle overload. Basic, everyday clothes in breathable materials are available here. Everything is made in Europe, which I appreciate and there’s a cool boys collection too with the coolest croc swim trunks I’m thinking of grabbing.

The first time we saw them live was at Rock Werchter in Brussels in 2012 and despite having an absolute blast with a mix of Lana Del Rey, The Gossip and most notably, Jack White, it dimly compared to the three-hour musical sensation we were lucky to experience this week. Just a few rows shy from the stage, we danced amongst a sea of 10,000 fans on the floor alone. My expectations were surpassed when they played my favourite song, which you can see on the YouTube link below.

In the kitchen- Flourless peanut butter chocolate chip mini blender muffins

This has to be the easiest muffin recipe ever. I mean, I am fully aware that muffins are easy to make but this is utterly ridiculous. All you do is stuff the ingredients in a blender, blend and scoop. And the best part is NO FLOUR and NO SUGAR! And yes, they are mouth-watering yummy.

Ingredients include peanut butter, one egg, one banana, baking soda, vanilla extract, honey and chocolate chips, which are optional.
