In the kitchen- Creamy cauliflower garlic rice

I have finally discovered how to get Georgie to eat cauliflower. All I had to do was mix it up with butter, garlic and of course remember to break out those snow peas he loves so much, as a sider. We’ve tried mashed cauliflower in the past, which I swear is almost just as good as mashed potatoes, but the addition of rice was one he appreciated more.

odd ends

1. First time at the movies! It was such an exciting Monday for both of us because I love little more than a cinema theatre and taking Georgie through the doors, into that dark world and seeing the amazement in his eyes, was just so cool. ‘Mummy, it’s magic!’ Something that will stick with me forever. We watched The Lego Movie and left after an hour. He’s only three after all. (Taken with my iphone camera hence the shit quality)

Legion Run

The Legion Run. At first, I didn’t plan to write a post about our day in the fields with muddy people running everywhere but then I realised it was kind of a big deal. Legion Run kicked off, this weekend in Cyprus, a European tour to eight cities in seven countries. The 5 km race with obstacles and the sole purpose of finishing with an intact team welcomes everybody to participate. The obstacles are great as you can see but the idea is anyone can get through them with a little help from their team. I guess this appealed to many because 3,500 people took part, making me want to kick myself for not!Despite the strong winds, the very long, dirt, stoney and dusty road I took pushing a buggy all the way upwards (phew!), it was definitely a sight worth seeing.

Motherhood

Lily-Rose and Tano

My other babies.

She has no idea how big she is. Or how annoying she is. Lily Rose will jump on you while you’ve got a cup of hot tea in your hand, get her head stuck in between the gate bars and chew through two doormats in ONE WEEK! She’s protective and loyal, kind and playful.

We call him The Brain- as in Pinky and The Brain?- It’s not even funny how much alike they are. Tano has a temper and will lash out if he’s not in the mood, so we manage him with care and lots of sweet talk. The poor bastard was taken from his mother too soon, I think and so he developed a little aggressive streak. He’s always on his toes and ready to announce himself with excessive barking whenever he sees or hears something. Those of you who have heard how Tano screams when he sees a cat, will know what I’m talking about.
