Totally forgot we have been using the laptop’s photo booth to take pictures when nobody else can help out. These are my favourites
Georgie stayed at grandma’s on Friday night so hubby and I enjoyed a night out. What was supposed to be a dinner turned out to be drinks and even some dancing!
On Saturday we headed to the American Academy school in Nicosia for International Day. All the students sang and danced to classic cinema tracks. Georgie, as expected, loved every minute of it, insisting on leaving my lap – after he had already left the stroller- and heading for the stage to dance. The evening was beautiful. There were so many different delicacies from more countries than I thought possible. Argentinians? Really? Very impressed! I can’t even remember half the names of the unique sweets and goodies everyone was offering but I enjoyed mucho!!! Thank you American Academy.
I took Georgie to the hair salon to get his first haircut. It only took five minutes and technically it wasn’t even a proper haircut because I couldn’t bare to take too much off. just a little here and a little there to tidy things up.
Sunday started out as a lovely sunny day. Georgie was in his blue jean dungarees, mummy was wearing a long black flowy dress while papa was in sneakers and a t-shirt.We had lunch then headed to the park where we were having a super fun time until…Georgie slammed his head into the rocky ground. i can’t tell you what happened in the next few seconds because i honestly can’t remember. All i remember is seeing blood pouring down his face into his eyes and the wet wipe I had pulled out of my bag, before SEEING the blood, painted red! We’re going to the hospital, was apparently the first thing i said before rushing across the park, black flowy dress blazing. i didn’t care who was there, who was looking, where my bag was or my mobile phone. i always wondered about those kind of things when watching a movie. i mean, something happens and the next thing you know, fancy clothes are being torn, cars are being torched and basically everything we seem to bloody depend on is now useless and disposed of.
Well i’m not sorry actually because only if you’ve experienced the real meaning of ‘going crazy’ will you understand my obsession. It’s a healthy one and it ensures my child sleeps, gets his rest, recharges his batteries, relaxes his busy brain and basically just chills! this means that i am one of those mothers who uses a prop to help my baby sleep. after reading a truckload of books on the matter, all of which specifically point out the importance of falling asleep without aid, i beg to differ.
