Since I discovered the existence of beautifully curated kids shops, both online and on site, my kids’ selection of toys has gone up a notch. They’re -slowly- replacing big ugly plastic trucks with wooden airplanes and exciting puzzles. And the kids genuinely love them. The latest online toy store added to my list of spaces to shop from for birthday gifts, among other things is Pie in the Sky, a local business with a seriously impressive selection of toys and accessories mainly because they’re all eco-friendly and sustainably sourced.
The last time I posted a mix tape or mixed tape, was shortly before I had James, in 2016. It was my labour list. So here’s a Mix Tape comeback post with some tunes I’ve been listening to lately.
We had argued for the millionth time that week. We were heading into deep waters, something had to change. After hours of contemplating and analysing this change, I decided to send him a message containing everything I was feeling. Everything, the good, the bad and the very ugly. I am a stay-at-home mum raising three kids, two of which are under three, with a 20-month old age gap and a lot of energy. I am exhausted, as you can imagine. But on that morning when I poured my heart into a single viber message, the relief was instant. Because I had finally spoken up and somehow I knew I would be getting what I wanted: support.
