Excuse the absolute nothingness that has taken over the blog this past week. We are gearing up for James’ christening this weekend and the to-do lists seem to be never-ending. I’ll be sharing bits and pieces from this family event because I have worked closely with a bunch of local artists and small businesses for all the details that come with organising such a popular event. But first, Valentines Day cards!
A few months ago I came across a blog post on Buddha Bowls. Have you heard of them? As far as I’m concerned this is exactly the type of excitement that healthy eating was missing. A big bowl packed with all sorts of colourful goodies, a custom-made dish with which you can let your imagination run wild.
James’ nursery is slowly coming together. Very slowly. I’m still waiting on a few things to arrive and of course there’s the matter of actually putting James IN his bedroom (yes, he still sleeps in his cot in our room). One thing I’m on the hunt for is beautiful illustrations for the walls. I came across Carson Ellis’ work and fell in love.
We’re at that stage where James is on three meals a day. That means exactly what all mamas with young babies know it means: The pressure is on. Gone are the days when all I needed were my boobs and a nappy or two. Also it’s been over five years since I pureed a meal and while I never thought things could change that much in this department I am actually discovering all sorts of new information and food combinations.
I have a pretty basic and easy-to-follow skincare routine. As much as I would like to dedicate more time to cleansing, washing, prepping and masking, I’m just not the type. But there is one little thing that I do and I freaking love it. If you’re like me and like keeping things minimal, simple and as less time-consuming as possible but of course you still want a glowy, dewy complexion, read on.
