Style inspiration: Converse sneakers

If I had to chose a pair of shoes to live in for the rest of my life it would be a pair of black and white Converse sneakers. On Pinterest, I have a board dedicated to my love for Converse sneakers and the many, many ways they can be worn. Isn’t it amazing how, over the past couple of years, they’ve broken free from confinement and are now considered classics and an acceptable statement piece by the big bosses of style? As you can see from these few favourite pics, they are super versatile. I like to wear mine with fancy dresses or with a pair of cut-off denim shorts. I wear them with sparkly tops and tight-fitted skirts. Anything goes!

Wednesday marked Georgie’s first day back to school. His excitement about moving up a class was adorable and also contagious. That means no tears this year. I’m actually quite proud of myself! Ha! Remember last year?

A box of memories

One day over the summer, my dad handed me a big cardboard box. It was packed with drawings and paintings, school report cards and birthday cards and even a diary I kept as a teenager. Memories and keepsakes from my childhood and a bunch of other utterly irreplaceable stuff were discovered during a cupboard clear-out and I could not be more thankful to my parents for saving every single piece.

Bye summer!

For the most part of this month my laptop remained closed. There was a great instinctual need to ‘switch off’ and that is exactly what I did.
