I’ve written about receiving gifts upon the arrival of a new family member. And how many people get it wrong, wasting money and annoying us. You voiced your opinions too, which I turned into a blog post. One thing we all agreed on was that balloons and flowers were out and food, self-care and baby products were in. Those were the things I appreciated after having all three of my babies. The needs are the same as they are more or less throughout the early years of parenting. That’s why it’s so amazing that Mommy Box has launched. A gift and subscription box service for pregnancy and post-partum is now available in Cyprus.

This may very well be my last post before Christmas so I thought I would share some pictures of these past few days leading up to the big day. There’s food, selfies, stuff I am loving right now, the kids -of course!- and a little tushy.
Last Sunday, I had something special planned for Georgie and me. We were going to go to the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Limassol to taste their new brunch spread, which was created with kids in mind too. When I received an e-mail invitation including those words AND the mention of zea flour and goji berries I couldn’t wait.
The kids are back at school so I’m assuming, like me, you are faced with a landslide of forms to fill in and various belongings that need name tags. Ever since Georgie started preschool over four years ago I have been using a number of ways to keep track of his lunchbox and water bottle and school bag, all of which have disappointed me. So when I discovered Unicorns and Superheroes who specialise in kiddie stationery and name tag WATERPROOF stickers I knew I could now relax.
James will be two in a couple of weeks. Which means we’ll be right smack bang in the middle of toddlerhood and the terrible twos stage hopefully coming out the other end unscathed and unscarred. Soon. Days with this little dude are anything but boring as you can imagine if you live or have ever lived with a toddler. He runs on an endless amount of energy, rarely sleeping throughout the day except for a quick nap in the car while I do the school run. But man, the boy can eat! Before the clock hits midday he’s already asked for two snacks and another bowl of cornflakes.
