The last time I posted a mix tape or mixed tape, was shortly before I had James, in 2016. It was my labour list. So here’s a Mix Tape comeback post with some tunes I’ve been listening to lately.

When the time comes, having the right music available and on hand is very important to me so I made two labour playlists.
One is called Labour. The other Slow Labour.
One is packed with rock songs, classics I love to dance to and other weird and wonderful favourites that hold good memories for me. The other makes me cry. Ha! I meant, chill. Both have voices I love and tunes that make me happy.
Yes, it’s been ages since my last mixed tape but I promise this one is a good one. Click play and turn up the volume.
If you can’t listen to this playlist it means you’re not on Spotify. It doesn’t take long to sign up for a Spotify account so go ahead and do it. There’s no reason you shouldn’t if you like music because it’s free and there’s no limit to what you can listen to.
I’ll be hosting Christmas Day this year. My big fat family of over 12 people and of course papa’s will be coming over and the only reason I am not completely freaking out is simply because almost everyone has agreed to cook and/or bake something. Much to my delight this also means that I can spend a bit more time sorting out table arrangements, decorations, kids’ activities and other details. Don’t worry, I’m not fooling myself that this will be easy but at least I am half-prepared because I have an awesome playlist ready and we all know that music makes everything better. So if I end up f***** up the ham and not buying enough napkins, we’ll be happy enough dancing to this alternative Christmas mixed tape.
Another mixed tape! in a slightly different form. I’m back to my usual evening chill routine which basically consists of cooking and listening to music. So over the past two weeks I’ve been jotting down new favourites and teaming them with old loves to create my second mixed tape. Enjoy!
