Georgie has a lot of love surrounding him. His grandfather, who he is also named after, is one of the most important people in his life. He had been meaning to buy a little house for Georgie to play in when he stays over but eventually decided to make one out of cardboard! It’s so cute and even has a chimney and a door handle! you can tell how much the little dude loved it.Have a happy happy weekend!xxx

I finally got around to getting georgie fingerpaints. Basically, I was browsing this awesome blog called Entertaining Monsters and found this fantastic idea to incorporate into his first fingerpainting session. I got a blank canvas, bought some stickers which I stuck on the bottom of the canvas and let him run wild!He began slowly…only putting his fingers in his mouth once before going absolutely crazy. I swear in a single second the paint was EVERYWHERE. I used a whole pack of wet wipes, which worked surprisingly well on georgie and the floor and the kitchen cabinets and my nose!My baby’s first piece of art!
Every afternoon- somewhere between dinner and Tom and Jerry- Georgie brings me one of his books and sits down on my lap for a read. I didn’t plan on teaching him this but i am very grateful it is something he loves to do. We are creating quite a little collection of cute books-some very baby ones and others I will save later for him- but my absolute favorite has to be Who’s Like Me? If your child loves animals – and what child doesn’t?- they will love this gorgeous colorful book with flaps to lift and learn about snakes and foxes. Also another aspect i love about this book- it has snakes and amphibians! Granted it may be for preschoolers and somewhat scientific but nothing can beat those beautiful retro illustrations.
Georgie skipped his morning nap so the afternoon one came earlier than usual. By 2.30 he was up and with nothing planned, I decided to take him to the beach. His little screams and bursts of running make me know that he will just love it this summer. All that running around and the cool breeze from the sea made me crave…a waffle. So i treated myself and Georgie to one with whipped cream and chocolate ice cream and a cup of tea to wash it all down.
This is what we had for lunch today! I wish I could say papa fought a vicious battle to bring this 5 kilo fish home but the truth is we bought it from a fisherman and decided to take to my sister’s house for a big lunch with the familia. Not quite sure what type of fish it is but it tasted AMAZING as you can imagine! It took two and a half hours to cook it to perfection so Georgie, my mum and dad and I took a walk down to the farm. Georgie’s been doing this funny thing where he mimics Tano by growling, eating food off the floor and chewing toys so it was only natural he would mimic the other animals too!
