…Georgie and I chilled. We had strawberries and weetabix for breakfast……went to the mall for a milkshake and some book browsing… (ended up buying wrapping paper and a DVD)……took a quick trip to the park for some ice cream……and we then ended the day getting dirty, feeding Tano and using our new chalk on the veranda wall. I picked up this natural and above all washable chalk from Tigadoo, one of the only-if not the only- eco-friendly kids’ stores in Nicosia. Such a great variety of wooden toys, clothes and hygiene products. Love that place!Moments like these make me wish I could feckin draw! But I can’t so poor Georgie will have to do with a orange-lemon tree. Hope you have a lovely weekend!xxx

what’s that in Georgie’s hand? It’s a chicken bone! I find they are great for babies to suck on or even use as a spoon!of course you should make sure the bone is big enough and that your child can’t bite the edges off. I also don’t even think i should mention that you never leave your child unattended while eating. I boiled some chicken last night and teamed it with some spaghetti -real comfort food. Georgie had some for lunch today mixed with yoghurt. Later on, he threw a fit when he spotted the fresh strawberries I picked up at the market. i couldn’t cut them up and get them in the net thingy fast enough. Can’t complain though. My baby’s a healthy eater and I am very happy! Poor Tano had to watch from afar because Georgie kept ‘offering’ him some. So cute!
The other day I remembered a usual and casual evening i spent with my friend and her toddler when i was pregnant with Georgie. We were at a restaurant and the little one would not sit still! Nothing unusual there, right? But then he started playing with the napkins, a spoon, the ketchup bottle eventually throwing everything on the floor resulting in a lot of noise. My friend continued our conversation only stopping to replace everything back on the table. I couldn’t help but notice…and judge her. My child, i said to myself, will never be like that. Fast forward a year and a few months later and i’m handing him spoons, ketchup bottles, water bottles and napkin holders to play with…while i continue my conversation with my friends.
so apart from me injuring my child perhaps the weirdest news of all is the weather! Remember I was telling you how hot it was? Well this was the view from our window last night. It rained most of the day too but it’s still warm. And here i was about to put away my Uggs and bring out the Havaianas. In other news, Evo’s doing well…and my sister turned 29 on Monday. As with every celebration in Cyprus, the barbecue was prepared and meat was on the menu. Below is papa getting the chicken with yoghurt ready. Yummy.
there’s a reason I’ve been away from the computer. i’ve been a bad mummy. on monday, just as I was rushing around to get Georgie ready for my sister’s birthday party I caught his fingers in the corner of the door. Ouch! I know! I still can’t think about it without feeling sick. Thankfully it wasn’t serious- apparently even if he had broken a bone, there’s nothing you can do about it. He screamed for half an hour, I cried more and then he was fine! Such a brave little boy. I’ll be posting a few pictures from Emilia’s party later on today.xxx
