James will start preschool in September. This is something that makes me anxious. As the middle child he has a free spirit, to put the description of his character mildly, so confirming to rules and following instructions, I fear, are not his strong suit. So when Little Kickers contacted me about taking James, who will be three next month, to a few weekly classes, I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to ease him into the world of education, independence and group play. The fact that he got a kit with a t-shirt and his name on it was just icing on the cake.

Last week was World Book Day, which meant that soon after Carnival, Georgie was given another opportunity to dress up. The problem with a four-year old and dressing up as a book character is that apart from Dr Seuss and Peter Rabbit there isn’t much else. I tried convincing him that The Cat in the Hat would look nice but his heart was stuck on The Big Bad Wolf, the mean protagonist of a few tales. There was absolutely no way I was going to rent or buy and besides I was being given the chance to actually MAKE him a costume, something I have always wanted to do. I turned to books, blogs and DIY posts but soon stopped in my tracks when I found this awesome and absolutely fantastic DIY wolf costume. Lia Griffith, you are awesome and absolutely fantastic!
