Once you have kids it’s so easy to get carried away with their lives, their needs, their wants that you forget about YOUR needs, YOUR wants and YOUR life. I know I’m certainly guilty of this.

For a long time, James’ room was empty. Aside from some boxes and Georgie’s old little bed. It remained locked until recently when we moved him in and I found myself a new room makeover project. So far I’ve moved his bed 379 times, changed his curtains twice and fallen off the ladder once. And I am absolutely loving it! It’s also given me the opportunity to discover and shop from small local businesses that specialise in the kind of original and unique kiddie stuff you only see online. To Sinnefaki opened its doors just in time!
Like any mother, I love my kids to bits. And there it is. The reality. That I have two kids now. Definitely not the same as having one kid. And after five and a half years of having (just) one, it’s safe to assume that I have no idea what I’m doing.
I’m always on the look out for ways to stay motivated. Being a stay-at-home mama can be great but I really need to watch it because by the end of the day I feel all I’ve been doing is folding laundry, changing nappies and staring at James. And while all that is absolutely fine, I need to start feeling more productive.
