It’s been all around these last few days. My daddy, as you can see, has arrived home safe and sound. Seeing him here, spotting him walking Bear, his new dog, and watching him enjoy a homemade Sunday lunch with all the people who have been so good to him over the month makes me want to thank each and every one of them and say a big I Love You!

Saturday late mornings are usually spent with Georgie’s cousins at TGIF, perhaps the most kid-friendly diner I know. However this Saturday, we went back to basics and snacked on fruit, cheese and bread at the Athalassa Park. I literally threw in a bag whatever I could find in the kitchen that would be picnic-suitable. It was a lovely change and one that we will definitely be doing more of. And thankfully, Georgie rediscovered his love for blueberries.
A quick trip to the health food store and Get Fresh this afternoon and we were ready to dig in to a vegetarian lunch. We are big meat eaters in this house but vegetarian options are very frequent due largely to Georgie who loves stuff like quinoa, broccoli and veggie tofu sticks. I found these veggie sticks at Be Natural in Aglantzia. They look like long hot dogs but are made from tofu. A healthy option compared to yesterday’s Happy Meal. Oops.
I’ve been toying with the idea of doing a couple of posts a week on Georgie’s outfits. Mind-blowing stuff, I know but there are times when my little dude looks so freaking cute in jeans and t-shirts and converse sneakers, I need to tell the world! Georgie has mostly new clothes bought at an intense rate by yours truly. I can’t help myself. And to think i was worried at 4 months pregnant as to how the hell I was going to dress a boy. But I’m loving it. Wouldn’t change it for the world.
