OK, so it didn’t literally blow the market away but it was heartbreaking…watching that big black cloud covering a month’s worth of preparation and a day’s worth of fun. We had hardly finished grooming our stall when the first clouds appeared. I decided to leave my bruised baby with his grandparents and ignore my lack of sleep after our stay at the hospital and this is what happens?? To be honest I don’t regret it. I love the rain. And i got to see my friends and take some cool shots. C’est la vie!
On Friday afternoon my mum and I were taking our usual post-lunch walk through Ikea in search for an 8 euro clothes rail. Georgie, as usual again, was standing in the shopping cart watching the world go by. Five minutes later i heard a thump- a noise I will NEVER forget. A noise so disturbing every time I think of it I feel sick. He had fallen on his head and in a matter of seconds his eye was swollen shut.
Last night it hit me: My camera has gathered dust. It’s been neglected, which ultimately means that I’ve been stuck in this stupid non-productive rut for far too long. So this morning, I grabbed my trainers, a banana, some water and my camera and headed for a walk with Georgie through Athalassa park. Even while I was sweating like a pig and spooked by noises in the bushes- I’ve had a big black ol’ snake cross my path a couple of times and let me tell you I was not impressed!- I promised myself I will do this as often as possible. We should all make more of an effort to satisfy our need for nature. Being outdoors, felt good.
…with a puppy……and a chair! Goodnight. xxx
