Since I became a mother of three, I have learnt to appreciate online shopping more. Not the food shopping kind though. That’s s my cardio especially with the minimum of two kids in tow. It’s a great workout. I’m talking about all those little things that we need, things like household and hygiene stuff, that would require alot of effort and time planning, hopping from shop to shop with the kids. The type of stuff you might buy from Amazon or eBay. But since this is a pro-local and pro-small business blog I am happy to present Yiassu, a local business with an online platform that stocks all those little things you need.
Yiassu is brand new to the market opening last year and on location too, in Nicosia. It has the exact same concept as Amazon and other major online shopping platforms but it’s a local business with an address to visit and a telephone number to call if and when needed! How cool is that? God knows how many times I have ordered something from overseas and spent days, sometimes weeks, in an e-mail conversation searching for the whereabouts of my purchase. Well, that is definitely not the case with Yiassu because you can just pick up the phone and call them.
The website is amazing, so well-planned and uncomplicated. It’s bright, the fonts are bold and it’s easy to navigate. All products are shown in more than one photo while the descriptions and prices are clear.
Yiassu adds new products to their rotation almost every week. Fashion, electronics and gadgets play a major role on Yiassu as do other miscellaneous items for the household, car, for men, for women and for kids. There’s an under 10 euro section and a daily deals one too which is brilliant.
Here are my top five products available on Yiassu now:
- Magnetic slime: The kids will love me for this.
- Car bin: Really really need one of these.
- Survival kit: Another thing for the car and the home of course. The kit includes 120 pieces such as plasters and gauze and scissors and safety pins. A necessity.
- Letterboard: We have something similar and Georgie loves it. But this one is lovely with its wooden frame and felt background. It’s something that would definitely look good in our home.
- Light fixture: I am dying over this vintage chandelier type of ceiling light. I love it and the rest of the home lighting selection.
Yiassu delivers all over Cyprus and abroad too. You can also find them on Instagram and Facebook where they regularly update and post brand new products.
