How I made my stretch marks disappear

Every night, after I shower, I feel like kicking myself because I keep forgetting to write this post. It’s one of those things that I know will help women experiencing what I experienced. When I was pregnant with James a dreaded stretch mark appeared on my lower belly.

I still remember the moment I realised it was a stretch mark. I was at home with my doula Claire and her partner Melina. I asked them if they thought it was in fact a stretch mark. Perhaps it wasn’t and I would get out of this pregnancy stretch mark free. But noooooo. The look on their faces, bless them, made my heart sink. It’s silly I know. There I was, healthy and happy and all of a sudden I felt I was being shot down by a 10 cm red mark on my belly.

They told me to apply oil. Religiously. And that’s what I did and what I have been doing.

Coconut oil made my stretch mark disappear. That’s it! It’s that simple. I wish I had a before picture to show you guys but I don’t. You’ll just have to trust me -or you can ask my doula- but my belly was scarred.

I am a massive coconut oil fan. Massive! I apply it every single day to my body and face. But during my second pregnancy I became lazy. I would still rub it all over my body but it would often be in a hurry and due to stretch marks appearing on my hips when I was pregnant with Georgie six years ago, I focused more on that area than on my belly. Big mistake!

However after alot of determination and dedication also known as EVERY NIGHT, religiously applying coconut oil to my belly and specifically on said stretch mark, I am happy to report it’s actually gone! Completely! Vanished! Poof! Vamoosh, son of a bitch!

Hi Mary. From the moment I noticed it I started applying coconut oil and now ten months after having James it is completely gone.
