Textile waste is a big problem worldwide. The numbers are astonishing, as you would imagine, making it something we all need to start tackling right now starting with the brand new cute t-shirts, adorable dresses, neon-coloured leggings and trendy shoes we love buying for our offspring. Children grow like weeds, twice a year they require a massive wardrobe overhaul that’s never cheap so it makes sense that many items can and should come from places like CoCoBee.
When Laura contacted me about sending the boys some clothes I immediately agreed. Mainly because I have seen the selection of clothes and shoes she carries on CoCoBee and I was impressed. From plain white tees to dresses and coats and hoodies and jeans and shirts, everything is in perfect condition. It’s clear she stands firmly by the ‘preloved’ statement.
Other items available at CoCoBee include accessories such as shoes, gloves, hats hairbows and headbands. Brand names include Mamas and Papas, George, H&M, Next, Baby Gap, Marks and Spencer and Disney.
The selection of ballet clothes on CoCoBee is adorable with a stunning array of tutu skirts in multiple colours. I wasn’t too sure how the boys would react to a tutu although I honestly did think about it, so I stuck with the basics when picking out their clothes from CoCoBee. They need everyday inexpensive clothes because they’re the type of kids who kneel and sit in the dirt and generally don’t care about looking after whatever it is they’re wearing.
I got 12 items from CoCoBee, four for each child. The cost amounted to just over 40 euros. Incredible, right? Prices start as low as 1 euro and rarely exceed 20 euros. The website was easy to use and the filters- including seasons and new or preloved- helped a lot as I was searching through three different age groups. I was tempted to buy more than just four pieces for Georgie, who is the only one who, without a doubt, needs a new wardrobe twice a year. There was so much to chose from and at ridiculously low prices.
I asked Laura whether she is interested in buying because I know more than one parent willing to sell off a few pieces! Contact her if you have clothes and accessories that you think may suit CoCoBee’s style.
