Over the past few years I have learned to love beautiful handmade and timeless jewellery. I now deeply appreciate a handcrafted stunning gold chain charm or a cuff bracelet and bangles. I do of course still buy the occasional gold hoop earrings from the high street but that’s about it. What, I feel, represents me and the woman I am today is something more, that isn’t mass-produced. Whether it’s an heirloom redesign or taking inherited or vintage gold and melting it to create a new piece, more or less anything goes!
Just before we left for Spain for a wedding I purchased two gold bangles. I wanted to wear them with my Ganni dress because I knew they would look good. They did. What I didn’t know was that they actually look good with everything. I wear them pretty much all the time now whether I’m in jeans and a t-shirt or high heels and a dress. And I got them for 50 euros!
And while I was writing this post I couldn’t resist and decided to treat myself to the Scorpio coin charm chain necklace for Christmas this year. So freakin’ excited!
