Stress, worry and too many thoughts kept creeping up on me this week. It’s taken determination, meditation, a catch-up/gossip coffee session with my girls, lots of cooking and Billie Holiday on repeat and I think I’m ok and ready for the weekend. There’s something phenomenally soothing about cooking and listening to Billie.
the Parent Hood
It’s been a full week. Appointments, afternoon activities, a lively four year old and a papa who has been knee-high in Cyprus Rally preparations all week make me want to scream TGIF! Tonight I’m posting from bed, feet up. I’m watching Breaking Bad reruns and snacking on almonds covered in dark chocolate. Yep, I’m pretty happy right now.
Any exciting plans for the weekend? While I’m dreaming of travel and researching faraway places, Georgie seems content to spend the weekend on his pappou’s little farm, feeding the chickens and pigs.
1. Have you ever heard of the wet sock treatment?
2. Are you at your desk all day? Try these desk stretches.
I miss the sky and it makes me sad. Those living in Cyprus and experiencing this horrific dust cloud phenomenon will understand my depressive mood. I don’t think I will take a blue sky for granted ever again. Moving on…
1. Grand decisions have been made to fix up a much-needed little work room in the house. Love these inspirational spaces.
Wednesday marked Georgie’s first day back to school. His excitement about moving up a class was adorable and also contagious. That means no tears this year. I’m actually quite proud of myself! Ha! Remember last year?
I have been thinking of changing up The Parent Hood, adding more lifestyle inspiration and hopefully posting every Friday so these cool links can be read over the weekend with a hot cup of tea and some peace and quiet.
