James’s favourite breakfast dish and the health booster I hide inside

One of my kids loves eggs! Yay! Georgie is ok with them – he’s made his peace with the fact that he must eat eggs – but James…oh James loves them. He especially loves them scrambled which is so fantastic because that’s when I get the chance to hide a little health booster in the dish.

Turmeric.

I use turmeric quite a bit in various meals I make but I find it works so well with scrambled eggs because it doesn’t have to compete with many other ingredients. You know you’re getting the benefits to the maximum. You must use black pepper too though as it helps the body absorb the turmeric.

Turmeric has a number of benefits, the main ones being that it’s a powerful antioxidant, it’s an anti-flammatory, it lowers cholesterol and boosts the immune system.

Anyway so back to James’s favourite dish.

Scrambled eggs with turmeric and black pepper with a side of toast buttered with avocado.

We’ve basically completely replaced butter with avocado in this house. Danny loves chewing a piece too.

It’s so easy to make and is loaded with good fats and healthy protein that will all need to start the day.

James’s suction silicone placemat is from Okiddoky and we love it.
