what georgie wore

It’s uncommonly cold here on the island. I’ve been running errands all day -including changing my hair colour; natural hues were inspiring me- and relishing the moments of wooly hats and warm leggings. We did some shopping in the morning because I needed to stock up on all-in-ones for Georgie. He’s outgrowing everything!  I picked up a few long-sleeved t-shirts from Benetton -including this awesome black Thor shirt- as they had a 50% discount and some pj’s from Debenhmas. A Happy Meal was our food of choice for lunch and an early afternoon nap followed shortly after. Wrap up warm, guys. There might be a chance of snow!

Little Kickers

I’ve been considering enrolling Georgie in some kind of class. He’s only 18 months so choices are limited but something did pop up in the form of Little Kickers. I’m sure you’ve heard of it. An international brand, it helps instill in little ones self-confidence, co-ordination, control and the sense of camaraderie. That was Georgie’s version of the class. So how did he do? Well, just as I expected he couldn’t sit still and insisted on doing things his own way and no one seemed to care. I thought he would stick out like a sore thumb but other children were just as active- with their mothers running alongside them- and the coaches were cool about that. What I’m trying to say is it was free time. Kids were encouraged to just be. I like that. I didn’t feel restricted and neither did  my child. It was a Saturday morning spent doing something different and getting active. Thanks for that guys!

waterworld

I wasn’t too keen on the idea of taking Georgie to a waterpark- a wild toddler amongst swimming pools is what I call NERVE-WRACKING!-but I am so glad we did. It’s a new family ‘tradition’ we have had every summer for the past six years-maybe even more and this was our first time as parents -last year at only five months old, Georgie stayed home. It was also the first time Georgie felt the flutter of jumping into a swimming pool. He kicked his legs and stretched his little arms. These moments…
